The historic bridge now closed to traffic but forming an integral part of the
scenic side of Aylesford.
Among other things, Aylesford is know for the historic 'Priory' The Friars. The origin of the Friars was as a religious house for the Carmelite Monks back in the thirteenth century. It is open to the public, and events are held there throughout the year.
