ROCHESTER  can be reached via the M20/M4/M25 and the A229.

The Norman Castle and Cathedral that dominates the city of Rochester are breathtaking and are steeped in history.

Rochester is not only highly regarded for its history however. You will find many additional treats in store such as Street Festivals, day and spectacular illuminated night Concerts in the Castle grounds, Farmers Markets, Cafes, Tearooms and a many Restaurants to suit all tastes, and try not to forget all that the local Inns have to offer.

Restoration House - East of the city wall, Restoration House is an amalgamation of two buildings that took place in the 16th century,  creating  a striking mansion, aptly named by Charles II when he resided at the house at the start of its "Restoration". Charles Dickens was also inspired. Here, Dickens created his most published work "Great Expectations".

The Guildhall Museum

Take a step back in time at The Guildhall Museum. Preserved in this magnificent building is the history of Medway. Explore the lower decks of the Museum to see the recreation of the prison ships. The Guildhall also has a license for civil marriages, for more information go to:
